Ugh! I can't get into a doctor for 2 weeks!
Evidently I am so use to infertility issues and people having infertility issues that I didn't realize that it isn't standard to get right into an ob. I guess most won't even see you unless your are 8 -10 weeks and I am "lucky" to get in at 6 weeks. I did a lot of checking around and this seems standard. How did I not know this?
How in the world am I going to keep sane for 2 weeks?!

You can do it!! Around here, 12 weeks is the norm to be seen so 6 is awesome. You'll be in that office before you know it.
6 weeks is awesome-- I had to wait until 10 weeks with Brody.
Will you get an ultrasound then?

Kristy & Kate - Wow 10 weeks and 12 weeks! That does make me feel better. I clearly know nothing about pregnancy.
6 weeks is awesome. Mine refuses to see anyone unless they are 10 weeks or later. Crazy doctors.
As for keeping sane...buy a bunch of 1 dollar test sticks and just keep testing! That always made me feel better. So exciting!
How weird to go from being infertile to being "fertile" and normal, at least according to the doctors :) The way I'd pass the time is to check out a bunch of books from the library about pregnancy and read them all cover to cover :)

I think it's SO crazy that they make people wait so long for an appointment! I begged and pleaded and was finally able to get in at 6 weeks---I can't imagine having to wait until 12 weeks, but I know it happens!

Deanna - I know! It is crazy. I had no idea people had to wait that long just to get their pg's confirmed!
